Who We Are...

As employment trends continue to show growth in vocational and technical careers, the Belmont & Harrison Career Centers offer "state-of-the-art" training to high school students to meet entry-level requirements into the job market or to further their education at the post-secondary level.

The Career Centers offer
programs in business, technology, personal services, skilled trades, mechanics, and specialized areas. Most programs are offered to juniors and seniors, however, freshman and sophomore students who are unsure about a future vocational field may enroll in the Connections or Occupational Lab programs and receive experience in small engine repair, welding, drafting, carpentry and more.

Students also receive an academic course load to complete high school graduation requirements, as well as, meeting requirements for college. Career Center students are offered math, science, social studies, English, and related technology classes, and can also receive credits in health and physical education. Students can receive 15 credits in two years while attending the Career Centers.

Students have available as well a computer/technology lab, individual tutoring services through the Resource Center, Ohio Graduation Test intervention, and GRADS services. Students are eligible for early job placement while still in school. They are also eligible for academic and vocational scholarships to be used for post-secondary education.
